Doctor Auto Performance offers professional car tuning in Bangkok for supercars and high-performance European cars — ECU remapping and piggyback tuning, always set up and proven on our dyno. We tune Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, Audi RS and other European performance cars for measured, repeatable gains in power and torque, with engine safety as the first priority. Every result is a printed dyno graph, not a claim.

What does an ECU remap actually change?
A remap adjusts the parameters inside the engine control unit — fuel injection quantity, ignition timing, boost pressure on turbo engines and throttle response — to suit the hardware and fuel the car actually runs. Done properly, the result is more horsepower and torque, stronger in-gear acceleration and a sharper throttle, while staying inside the engine’s safe operating window. On modern turbocharged European engines the gains are substantial; naturally-aspirated engines gain less but respond noticeably better.
Remap vs piggyback box — which is right for you?
A remap rewrites the map inside the factory ECU itself: clean, invisible, no extra hardware, and generally finer control. A piggyback is an add-on unit that intercepts and adjusts sensor signals before they reach the ECU: easier to install and completely reversible, which suits owners worried about dealer warranty. Neither is universally better — we recommend based on your model, your performance target and your warranty situation, and we can store the original map so the car can always go back to factory standard.

Why we tune on a dyno, not on the road
On the dyno the tuner watches horsepower, torque and air-fuel ratio in real time, so the map can be adjusted precisely and any abnormality is caught before it can damage the engine. Road tuning is guesswork by comparison — unmeasurable and riskier. Dyno tuning produces a result you can verify as a before/after graph, which is the standard a supercar deserves. It is also simply more honest: you see exactly what you paid for.

Is tuning safe for a supercar engine?
Yes — when it is done by specialists, on a dyno, within the limits the engine can support. We inspect the car’s condition and hardware first, tune with a deliberate safety margin rather than chasing peak numbers, and re-test to confirm the result. The failures you hear about almost always come from over-aggressive maps or road-tuned guesswork; we do neither. Where the customer prefers, a piggyback or a saved factory map keeps the path back to stock completely open.

Stages, pricing and how long it takes
Cost depends on the model, the tuning type (remap or piggyback), the stage (1/2/3) and any supporting hardware fitted alongside — typically a performance exhaust or downpipe. Most tuning appointments are completed quickly once the car and parts are ready. Tell us the car and what you want from it, and we will propose the right stage and quote before anything is booked.

Frequently asked questions
How much power will my car gain?
It depends on the model and supporting hardware. Turbocharged engines gain the most; higher stages with exhaust/downpipe gain more again. We measure the real figure on the dyno and only run numbers that are safe for your specific engine.
Will a remap damage my engine?
Not when tuned on a dyno within safe limits. We assess the car first, tune with a safety margin and verify with repeat runs. Blown engines come from greedy maps and guesswork — not from disciplined tuning.
Can I go back to stock for dealer service?
Yes. A piggyback simply unplugs, and for remaps we can store the original file and restore the factory map when needed.
Do you tune right-hand-drive imports and grey-market cars?
We tune European performance cars sold in Thailand generally — message us with your exact model and spec and we will confirm what is possible.
