Brakes are the one system on a performance car where “good enough” is not good enough. Doctor Auto supplies and fits big brake kits, performance pads, discs and calipers from the brands that dominate motorsport — AP Racing, Brembo and Alcon, plus GiroDisc floating rotors — for Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren and fast European cars in Bangkok. Every install is finished properly: bled, fluid-matched, bedded in and road-tested before handover.

What does a big brake kit actually improve?
A big brake kit raises the whole system’s capacity: more caliper pistons, larger discs and far better heat dissipation. In practice that means shorter, more repeatable stops, a firmer and more consistent pedal, and resistance to fade when the car is driven hard — the exact area where standard brakes on a heavy, fast car give up first. Brembo, AP Racing and Alcon earned their reputations on race grids; we size the right kit to your wheels and model and make sure everything clears and works as a system.

Performance pads and floating discs — the smart first upgrade
Not every car needs a full kit. Matching the right high-performance pad compound to a two-piece floating disc often transforms braking feel at a fraction of the cost: street compounds stay quiet and low-dust, track compounds resist heat and fade. Floating (2-piece) rotors like GiroDisc separate the bell from the friction ring, cutting weight and letting the disc expand without warping. Pairing pad, disc and the correct brake fluid is where the real skill lies — and it is exactly what we advise on, based on how you actually drive.

Why brake work on luxury cars needs a specialist
Because the systems are genuinely different. Many Porsches and supercars run carbon-ceramic brakes (PCCB/CCB) that must be handled with specific procedures; caliper and disc choices have to clear specific wheel designs; and bleeding, fluid selection and electronic integration must be right for a car that will actually be used at speed. A shop that does this on high-performance cars weekly is a different proposition from a general garage doing it once a year.

Installation, bleeding and bed-in — done completely
A brake job is not finished when the hardware is bolted on. We bleed the system fully, change to fluid appropriate for the use case, bed in the new pads and discs so they mate correctly (killing noise and vibration before they start), and road-test the pedal before the car goes back to you. The first hard stop should inspire confidence, not doubt.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know AP Racing parts are genuine?
Buy through a workshop that sources from authorised channels. Everything we fit is genuine with the manufacturer’s warranty — counterfeit brake parts are a real problem in this market and a genuinely dangerous one.
Which pad compound should I run?
Street driving: a high-performance street compound — quiet, low dust, strong cold bite. Track days: a compound built for sustained heat. We match pad, disc and fluid to your driving, not a one-size answer.
Are two-piece floating discs worth it?
For hard-driven cars, yes: lower weight, better cooling and far less heat distortion than one-piece discs, so the pedal stays consistent lap after lap.
Do you work on carbon-ceramic (PCCB/CCB) systems?
Yes — carbon-ceramic systems need specific handling and we service them regularly on Porsche and other supercars.
What does a brake upgrade cost?
It depends on the car and the level — pads, floating discs or a full big brake kit. Send your model and goal on LINE and we will quote the realistic options for free.
