Ceramic coating in Bangkok and paint protection film (PPF) are the two ways to keep a supercar’s paint looking the way it left the factory — and in Thailand’s sun, rain and traffic, they earn their keep quickly. Doctor Auto Clinic protects the paint of Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, Aston Martin and Bentley with premium ceramic coatings, clear self-healing PPF and proper paint correction beforehand, by technicians who work on this class of car every week.

What is ceramic coating, and why do supercars need it?
Ceramic coating is a hard, transparent SiO₂-based layer chemically bonded to the clear coat. It makes the surface slick and hydrophobic, resists bird droppings, tree sap, water spots and UV, reduces wash-induced swirl marks and deepens the gloss. On a supercar — where many colours are special-order and repainting is expensive — that protection translates directly into preserved value and far easier day-to-day care in Bangkok conditions.
How is PPF different from ceramic coating?
PPF is a physical shield: a clear polyurethane (TPU) film applied over the paint that stops stone chips, scratches and scuffs — damage no liquid coating can prevent. Modern films self-heal light swirls with heat. Ceramic coating, by contrast, is about gloss, slickness and chemical resistance. They complement each other rather than compete: the strongest combination is PPF on the impact zones (or the whole car), then ceramic coating over everything for uniform gloss and easy washing.

Our process: preparation first, product second
- Inspection & paint-depth measurement — map the swirls and measure clear-coat thickness so polishing stays safe.
- Wash & decontamination — two-stage wash, clay bar and iron remover until the surface is genuinely clean.
- Paint correction — machine-polish out swirls and light scratches with compounds suited to exotic paint.
- PPF application (if chosen) — model-specific patterns, squeegeed flat with no bubbles and near-invisible edges.
- Ceramic coating — panel wipe, coating layers applied and cured to the product spec.
- Inspection & handover — checked under detailing lights, with aftercare instructions.

Which brands of coating and film do we use?
Only products with real reputations in the luxury-car world: ceramic coatings from the Gtechniq, Gyeon, IGL Coatings and Ceramic Pro families, and PPF from XPEL, SunTek and STEK — self-healing films with manufacturer-backed warranties. We recommend the grade honestly against your colour, usage and budget rather than defaulting to the most expensive line.

Why is this work harder on a supercar than a normal car?
Complex body lines, carbon fibre parts, wings and vents everywhere mean film must be cut from model-specific patterns and worked with real skill to hide the edges. Many cars wear special-order, exposed-carbon or matte finishes where the wrong polishing move causes damage that costs serious money to fix. And the workspace itself must be clinically clean, because dust sealed under a coating stays there. This is precisely the kind of job where the cheap quote is the expensive one.
Warranty and aftercare
Coating and film work is warranted according to the product grade you choose, and every car leaves with specific aftercare guidance — how long to keep it dry while the coating cures, how to wash without damaging the layer, and which maintenance products are safe. You are welcome to bring the car back for periodic condition checks so the protection keeps performing.

Frequently asked questions
How much does ceramic coating cost in Thailand?
It depends on the car’s size and condition, the coating grade and how much paint correction the surface needs first. Full-car PPF costs considerably more than coating alone. Send your model and photos on LINE for an exact, free quote.
How long does ceramic coating last?
Quality coatings last years with correct washing and maintenance. Avoid harsh chemicals and come in for periodic checks; we advise the right routine for your car.
Should I PPF the whole car or just the front?
If the car is driven and you care about resale, full-body is the best protection. On a tighter budget, film the impact zones — bonnet, bumper, mirrors, door edges — and ceramic-coat the whole car over it.
Can you coat over PPF?
Yes — it is the standard supercar combination. Film first for physical protection, coating over film and paint for uniform gloss and easy cleaning.
Can you work on matte or exposed-carbon finishes?
Yes, with the specific products and techniques those finishes require — they are exactly the surfaces where general shops cause damage.
